We share an optimistic vision for the future of East Arnhem. The region is well placed to meet new challenges over the next fifteen years, building on progress to date.

When we launched our Strategic Plan 2020-25, we committed to measuring progress under this plan. As part of this, we will measure the progress of the East Arnhem region towards our 2035 economic development vision:

• A resilient East Arnhem economy
• Nhulunbuy as a prosperous and sustainable regional centre
• Yolŋu are leaders and partners in economic life

In this economic and community profile, a range of data and indicators have been used to create a baseline understanding of East Arnhem’s current profile against our vision areas. These indicators will be monitored and updated each year, along with analysis against previous indicators, to assist the community and stakeholders in understanding the success of the East Arnhem region.
